Fritjof Capra

“The Tao of Physics” is a book written by Fritjof Capra that was first published in 1975. The book explores the connections between modern physics and Eastern mysticism, particularly the ancient Chinese philosophy of Taoism. Capra argues that the insights of modern physics, such as the theories of relativity and quantum mechanics, are remarkably similar to the concepts and ideas found in Taoism, and that both offer a way of understanding the world that is fundamentally different from the mechanistic and reductionistic worldview of classical physics. The book has been influential in the popularization of the idea that science and spirituality are not necessarily incompatible, and that there is a growing convergence between these two seemingly disparate realms of human knowledge.
